Briefly Summarizing Known History Of The Property:
As Charlotte's center city
became increasingly populated, more restaurants, such as The Anderson's
Family Restaurant, began to appear in the area. Many restaurants such
as The Anderson's were owned by Greek families who had immigrated to the
United States, and at first had taken jobs in restaurants as dishwashers,
where they learned the recipes to "American dishes." Popular American
dishes became combined with popular Greek dishes to create restaurants such
as The Andersons. Greek-owned restaurants became very popular, and many
of them are still around today.
