Briefly Summarizing Known History Of The Property:
Beatties Ford Road was
once known as the major commercial corridor, US HWY 16. During this
time period Americans were experiencing an increased disposable income; with
which they could spend on whatever they chose. Whether it be logical
or illogical; eating out, haircuts, gas, or bar hopping, they were able to
have some fun now and then. This meant gathering-spots such as the
Excelsior Club were now popular places to spend time and money. The
exciting concept of entertainment which bars and clubs offered was
quickly becoming part of the streetscape.
