13. Paragraph Briefly Summarizing Known History Of The Property: North Tryon Street was formerly known as part of the major commercial corridor US N29 which ran through Charlotte, NC. Thus, automobiles and trucks became the principal means of transportation through this area. Although, Eastway Drive is located directly off of North Tryon Street, once it was built it received a lot of the pass-through traffic from North Tryon. Inevitably, the epicenter of heavy pass-through transportation, structures which had eye-catch colorful signs which catered to the automobile such as motels and restaurants rapidly became present throughout the area. Although the Tryon House Restaurant is a fairly new restaurant it is another good example of a Greek family run restaurant.
